Penn State‘s 2026 schedule will be released on Tuesday. Ahead of tomorrow’s reveal, the Nittany Lions asked some of their players to draw — or attempt to draw — the mascots of their opponents next season.

In no particular order, you can watch the full video below. As noted, results may very.

Here’s how the mascot assignments broke down. OL Anthony Donkoh drew Washington, OL Trevor Buhr drew Temple, RB Cam Wallace drew Buffalo, EDGE Alexander McPherson drew Rutgers, K Ryan Barker drew USC, LB Caleb Bacon drew Northwestern, RB James Peoples drew Purdue, DL Ty Blanding drew Penn State for the BYE week, S Marcus Neal Jr. drew Michigan, OL Vaea Ikakoula drew Wisconsin, LB Tony Rojas drew Marshall, WR Chase Sowell drew Maryland and TE Andrew Rappleyea drew Minnesota.

At the end, Penn State put all the pictures together, and it’s certainly a sight. Instead of flashing the trademarked Penn State logo at the end of the video, Blanding’s four-toothed Lion was shown.

It remains to be seen what order Penn State will play these teams. Regardless, there will be major expectations attached to the Nittany Lions season in 2026.

Matt Campbell arrived earlier this offseason to replace James Franklin after he was first mid-season. Campbell was previously at Iowa State, and brought a slew of his former Cyclones players with him to Happy Valley — including some of the players who participated in the video above.

Campbell has signed 37 players to Penn State out of the transfer portal so far, and 15 recruits from the high school ranks. This came after he was left with just two signees in the 2026 class when he took over.

As expected with the high-profile coaching change, Penn State also lost a whopping 47 players to the portal from Franklin’s 2025 roster. It remains to be seen how Campbell’s first class will fare after piecing it together in short order, but he’s expected to win with it right away.

Knowing all 12 opponents already, there are also some noticeable omissions. They avoid Ohio State, Oregon and Indiana in 2026 — all three of which represented the Big Ten in the College Football Playoff this past season. Of course, Indiana won it all with a 16-0 record.

This bodes well for Penn State and the possibility for the Nittany Lions to stack wins next fall. For now, the Nittany Lions will await Tuesday’s reveal which is set for 5:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
