The pair of defensive leaders for the Rebels were not on the field for the second half against LSU, with Finley out nearly the entire game and Brown injured at the end of the first half.

“For the defense, safety AJ Finley is out for the game and linebacker Troy Brown — who is a leader of this defense — he’s the one that went down with that shoulder injury before the half. He’s questionable to come back but no helmet on,” explained CBS Sports‘ Jenny Dell.
The impact of their loss on the defense might have been immediately felt after LSU opened the second half with a 50-yard touchdown drive to take a 24-20 lead in the third quarter.
