3-star DL Jonathan Davis commits to Missisippi State
Monticello (Miss.) Lawrence County three-star defensive lineman Jonathan Davis has announced his commitment to Mississippi State. He chose the Bulldogs after taking an official visit to Starkville on Jan. 27.
Davis is the No. 514 overall prospect and No. 54 defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Mississippi.

On3 rates Davis higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, he is the No. 50 defensive lineman in the country.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound recruit held offers from five other schools. They were Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville State, Ole Miss, Southeastern Louisiana and Texas. Coastal Carolina and Ole Miss received officials from Davis on Jan. 22 and Jan. 25, respectively.
