2025 LB Charles White commits to Michigan State
West Bloomfield (Mich.) Orchard Lake St. Mary’s three-star linebacker Charles White has committed to Michigan State.
He chose the in-state Spartans over the likes of Purdue, Kansas, Penn State and Nebraska.
“My favorite things about Michigan State has to be the players they got to know me quick and made me feel at home,” White told On3. “I’m excited to get to work with the new coaching staff, try and get some trophies under the belt.”
White is the No. 554 overall prospect and No. 58 LB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 10 player in Michigan.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder took multiple trips to East Lansing this spring and also set a June official visit with the Spartans. Defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, head coach Jonathan Smith and Co. made White a priority and have now added his name to a growing pledge list.
“It was very beautiful,” White told SpartanMag of the February visit. “I haven’t been to Michigan State in a long time, so actually being there, seeing the campus, talking to the coaches, the nutritionist, and academic advisors, it lived up to the standards.”
