Miami WR Joshisa Trader enters NCAA transfer portal
Miami wide receiver Joshisa Trader has entered the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Trader spent two seasons with the Hurricanes.
During that time, he caught 19 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Most of that came during his sophomore season, catching 13 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown.
He was a highly-rated recruit coming out of high school, coming in as the No. 44 overall recruit and the 10th-best player at his position. Trader was also a four-star recruit according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
Trader is the 19th player to enter the NCAA transfer portal from the 2025-26 Miami roster. Now, he’s looking to make the next step in his college career after entering the portal for the first time in his career.
He’s leaving a Miami squad that is coming off a deep run to the College Football Playoff national championship game. The Hurricanes ended just short of winning it all, eventually losing to Indiana 27-21 on Jan. 19.
