On300 4-star DL Brandon Brown flips commitment from Texas to LSU
After having been committed to Texas since December, Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown has flipped his pledge from the Longhorns to LSU.
Brown is the nation’s No. 331 overall prospect, No. 27 defensive lineman and No. 46 recruit from Florida in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 is higher on Brown than the other major recruiting services. He ranks No. 218 nationally and is the No. 20 DL in the 2025 On300.

Brown has visited LSU multiple times, including for an official visit to Baton Rouge at the end of May.
“What stood out was how family-oriented everything was and going to eat breakfast at Coach Kelly’s house proved it even more,” his mother, Nyesha Brown, told On3. “There’s nothing I don’t like about it.”
