According to the team’s website, Thomas first joined the Tigers program as a staff member in 2013. Later, he was elevated to the team’s general manager by Ed Orgeron in 2016. When the move was made, Thomas became the first general manager in the history of the SEC. One of two with the of general manager title in all of college football.
After stops at programs like Texas A&M and Baylor, Thomas returned to LSU prior to the 2021 season. However, it looks like he’s on his way out of the Bayou once again with the departure of Orgeron.
