Four-Star PG Curtis Givens commits to LSU
Curtis Givens, one of the top point guards in the nation, is headed to Baton Rouge to play for Matt McMahon and the LSU Tigers.
The 6-foot-3, four-star recruit out of Montverde (Fla.) Academy chose the Tigers over a final group of Memphis, Texas, Indiana, and Georgia Tech.
Givens, ranked as On3’s No. 33 overall player in the 2024 class, is the second recruit to commit to LSU this cycle. He joins four-star power forward Robert Miller III (No. 40).

In a previous interview with On3, Givens discussed LSU.
“Coach Matt (McMahon) has a history of developing great guards. When he was at Murray State, they had Ja Morant, and they had Cameron Payne. He’s a point guard coach who puts the ball in his point guard’s hands and lets them control the tempo.”
Givens Scouting Report
“Curtis Givens is a skilled and confident lead guard. He has smooth three-point range that extends well beyond the arc. While he will need to continue developing his explosion, he can get to his spots, off the bounce, in the half-court, and has good floor vision. Givens is a modern type guard who can score and facilitate. He should track among the top in his class.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
