Louisville tight end Nate Kurisky plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. As a redshirt junior this past season, Kurisky will have one more season of collegiate eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Kurisky finished the 2025 season with 20 catches for 157 yards and two touchdowns — one against Pitt and the second vs. Clemson — in 11 games. For his career, Kurisky has 50 total catches for 410 yards and seven touchdowns in 38 total games across three seasons (2023-25) in Louisville.

Kurisky signed with Louisville as a three-star recruit in the 2022 class, where he was the No. 3 player from Washington, D.C., and the 65th-ranked tight end in the class out of Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) High, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Prior to the 2025 season, Cardinal SportsWilliam McDermott described Kurisky as follows: “Kurisky is the ultimate ‘I want to play with him’ guy. He’s great in the locker room, does the simple things that many take for granted at tight end, like blocking and starting in motion. He’s also effective at setting picks within the 5-yard limit, and on top of that, he caught 12 passes for 112 yards and three scores (in 2024). … It feels odd saying this, but pass catching might be the most underrated aspect of Kurisky’s skill set.”

Kurisky is the second Louisville player to enter the portal Wednesday, following star pass rusher AJ Green.

Louisville EDGE AJ Green plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Louisville redshirt sophomore EDGE Adonijah “AJ” Green plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He’ll have two seasons of eligibility left at his next stop.

Green played high school football at Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 190 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted algorithm that compiles all major recruiting media services.

This past season, Green totaled 31 tackles, six TFL, five sacks, one forced fumble and a blocked kick. Some other team will gladly add his services for the 2026 season after checking out those numbers.
