In just two seasons in Bloomington, Curt Cignetti did the improbable, bordering on impossible, he led the Indiana Hoosiers to a national championship in football. Now, the accolades are rolling in and Chipotle has even named a menu after Cignetti in celebration.

Chipotle recently announced the item is going to be a bowl, making him the first coach to have an official menu item with the restaurant chain. It will have brown rice, chicken, black beans, and a side of guacamole. If in burrito form, it would notably contain 35 grams of protein.

“Coach Cignetti has entered the chat! In addition to today’s BOGO offering in Indiana, Chipotle launched Coach Cignetti’s daily order, called The Coach Cignetti ‘I Win’ Bowl, as a limited-time digital menu item available on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com.”

That menu item comes directly from Cignetti. He recently revealed that the bowl is an item he orders every day. His daily order is made through the assistant director of football operations’ Chipotle Rewards account. That’s how it’s known that he is in the top one percent in the state of Indiana for achieving the most Rewards points.

The term “I win” comes from Cignetti’s press conference when he was introduced back in 2023. At the time, he was looked at sideways for his bravado, demanding respect for Indiana. Now, it’s impossible to ignore the Hoosiers.

“It’s pretty simple, I win,” Cignetti said in December of 2023. “Google me.”

Incidentally, Chipotle isn’t the only major company that has recently attached itself to Curt Cignetti and that now famous quote. Google is also paying tribute to him. If you now Google the name “Curt Cignetti,” it will say, “Yup, he won,” at the top of the page.

On top of having the menu item named after him, Cignetti is also being presented with a VIP card from Chipotle. That’s an exclusive perk for superfans of the brand. It will give him access to free Chipotle.

Around Indiana, Chipotle restaurants will continue the celebration. Fans wearing Hoosiers’ gear will get a free entrée with the purchase of regular price entrée from 4:00 p.m. to close on January 22nd.

Cignetti is a Pennsylvania native who began his coaching career in 1983. By 2007, he had made his way up to being an assistant for Nick Saban at Alabama. In 2011, he bet on himself, taking a head coaching job at IUP. From there, he worked his way up with stops at Elon and James Madison before landing at Indiana.

When Cignetti got to Indiana, it was the losingest program in college football history. Now, the Hoosiers still have the second-most losses, but they also have a national championship thanks to the turnaround he’s performed.
