QB Zach Pyron announces commitment to Georgia Tech
Pinson (Ala.) Pinson Valley senior quarterback Zach Pyron’s second recruitment moved quickly.
Pyron’s recruitment ended Wednesday morning when the 6-foot-2, 215-pound signal-caller announced he was committed to Georgia Tech.
“Georgia Tech is a special place,” Pyron wrote in his Twitter post.
Pyron committed to play for Baylor on March 5.
Pyron backed off his commitment to Baylor on Sept. 5. Georgia Tech was one of the three of schools that jumped into the hunt for the three-time state champion quarterback.

Vanderbilt and Arkansas also offered Pyron immediately after his decommitment.

Pyron is Georgia Tech’s 16th commit in the class of 2022.
What does Zach Pyron bring to Georgia Tech?
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings had high remarks for the Pinson Valley quarterback.
“The first thing that jumps out about Zach Pyron to me is his release,” Power said. “He gets the ball out fast both in the quick game and on intermediate and downfield throws. He also has solid mobility. We also like that Pyron led his Pinson Valley team to a state title as a junior. This is a nice pickup for Geoff Collins and the Jackets in landing a coveted arm out of Alabama.”
