Clemson's Jake Heidbreder enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Jake Heidbreder just finished his second season at Clemson after transferring in two offseasons ago. Now, it’ll be his lone year actually playing for the Tigers.
Heidbreder has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3‘s Pete Nakos has learned. That’s after his one year as a redshirt junior after missing his entire first season with the program the year prior.
Heidbreder appeared in 32 games off the bench this season for Clemson. He averaged 4.1 points (40.4% FG, 37.3% 3PT) and 1.2 rebounds per game in those outings, which had him in seventh on the team in scoring and third in three-point percentage. However, Heidbreder only played one season at Clemson. That’s after redshirting following his initial transfer to the Tigers.
Prior to Clemson, Heidbreder spent two seasons at Air Force. He posted 12.9 points (49.2% FG, 39.1% 3PT), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 61 games played with the Falcons. That included 15.1 points (48.4% FG, 39.9% 3PT), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists as a selection to the All-Mountain West Third Team.
Heidbreder is now the fourth loss of this portal cycle, which began earlier this week, for Clemson. The Tigers have also seen Chauncey Wiggins, Del Jones, and Asa Thomas depart by entering themselves in over the past four days.

Chauncey Wiggins enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Clemson’s Chauncey Wiggins has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. On3’s Joe Tipton reported Wiggins’ entry on Monday. That comes per his representation at EZ Sports Group.
“NEWS: Clemson forward Chauncey Wiggins is entering the transfer portal, his agent Corey Marcum of @EZSportsGroup tells @On3sports,” Tipton tweeted in the afternoon.
Wiggins spent the past three seasons with the Tigers. He appeared in 97 games for the program in that time in becoming more and more of a starter over the years. In total, Wiggins averaged 5.6 points (44% FG, 36.5% 3PT) and 2.1 rebounds in those outings. That includes a career-best season this year as a junior with 8.3 points (43.8% FG, 36.5% 3PT on 1.2 threes per game) and 2.9 rebounds.
Wiggins has been one of the pieces in the successes over the past three seasons at Clemson. Now, he’ll be continuing his career elsewhere with this entry into the portal at the start of the cycle today.
