WATCH: Baylor scores 70-yard touchdown on gutsy fourth-down call to cut deficit

Baylor decided to take a huge risk facing 4th-and-5 from their own 30-yard line Saturday against Oklahoma State, and it paid off with a touchdown. Quarterback Blake Shapen completed a pass to Monoray Baldwin for the first down before the receiver turned on the jets for much more.

Baldwin sped past the Cowboys defenders for more than 50 yards after the catch to complete the 70-yard touchdown. After that, Shapen completed another pass to Gavin Holmes to convert the two-point conversion and make it a one-possession game with Oklahoma State leading 33-25.

After the Cowboys opened the second half with a kick return for a touchdown, Baylor at one point found itself trailing 23-3 in the third quarter. However, the Bears would go on to score three touchdowns from that point to claw their way back into the game.

However, that touchdown would be the last of the game for Baylor, as the Cowboys held them scoreless over the final quarter to hang on for a 36-25 victory. The win improved OSU to 4-0 (1-0 Big 12) on the season, while the Bears dropped to 3-2 (1-1).

Oklahoma State came away with two fourth-quarter interceptions against Shapen to clinch the game. Shapen finished the game 28-of-40 passing for 345 yards and two touchdowns. Cowboys quarterback Spencer Sanders was 20-of-29 for 181 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and also added 75 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Baylor has a bye next week, but will hope to turn things around when it faces West Virginia in Week 7. Oklahoma State will look to keep rolling next week when it takes on Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. CT in Stillwater.
