2023 offensive lineman Gernorris Wilson decommits from Auburn
Lakeland (Fla.) offensive lineman Gernorris Wilson has decommitted from Auburn after the firing of head coach Bryan Harsin, he announced on Monday.
Wilson is the No. 966 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 92 interior offensive lineman and the No. 142 senior recruit in the state of Florida.
“Due to current circumstances I’ve decided to decommit from Auburn University,” Wilson wrote on Twitter. “My recruitment is 1000% back open.”
The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder chose the Tigers over a handful of other schools in September after his official visit to The Plains.

“The family environment,” Wilson said at the time about why he chose Auburn. “It’s different. There’s really no other place like it. I can’t really pinpoint it. I’ve just been around it and know (Auburn) is where I want to be.”
The Tigers are now down to 10 commitments in the 2023 recruiting cycle and rank No. 29 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
