Arkansas' Davonte Davis ejected after picking up a pair of technical fouls vs. Kentucky
Arkansas just lost a vital member of their team in today’s game against Kentucky. Just two minutes into the second half, Razorback guard Davonte “Devo” Davis got ejected after picking up a pair of technical fouls.
Davis originally was whistled for a common foul on an out-of-bounds play and was quite angry over the call and complained to the officials for some time before finally settling down. However, once play resumed, Davis played aggressive defense on Kentucky ball-handler Antonio Reeves and grabbed the Wildcat guard’s arm with both his hands as Oscar Tshiebwe set a screen.

Refs whistled Davis for another foul there, which prompted him to pop off on the referees and earned a quick technical foul for whatever it was he said to the official. Shortly after the first technical, Davis got called for another and was kicked out of the game.
A few possessions later, after Kentucky had built an 11-point lead, Wildcat big man Lance Ware picked up a technical foul of his own, leading to a pair of Razorback free throws. And all this after Oscar Tshiebwe was tagged with a technical and flagrant for separate violations in the first half.
Shew, what a dramatic afternoon in Fayetteville.
